Description
Adopt an aquarium species from Isla Tortuga!
Did you know that one of the main causes of extinction of wild species is the introduction of invasive species? Aquarium turtles are very destructive, devouring native vegetation and having no natural predators.
To prevent the introduction of invasive species to the fragile aquatic ecosystems of Yucatan, we are building Isla Tortuga in the Ceiba Pentandra park. An artificial wetland that takes advantage of rainwater and is the new home for aquarium fish and turtles that can no longer be cared for by their owners. Your donation will help us finish building the turtles’ home and install the water pipe system. As well as providing care to the turtles that we currently have.
You also help the child instructors continue their teaching efforts, convincing other children (and adults) about responsible pet ownership.
Your donation includes:
-Food for turtles and fish.
-The maintenance and cleaning .
-A personalized adoption certificate with the tortoise photo!.
Your donation is tax deductible in Mexico!
